Technology leadership wanted to release a prototype Insurance customer facing quote and bind POS solution for CA, Utah, and Nevada products using Scrum. There was no project delivery platform currently within the organization using Scrum.
Challenges
This was Technology and Business team's first product delivery using a Scrum framework. There was no formal training within the organization using Scrum and the understanding of the values and principles that guide the practices and techniques.
Actions
Demonstrated business value delivery after every release. Expanded from one to six teams within five months. Created cross-functional, dedicated, and self-managing teams that experimented and explored new and better ways of working.

Created a 10% cost saving within the first six months of delivery, reducing budget by 1.5M. Demonstrating a higher quality product every release with continuous integration and continuous deployment using a DevOps mindset. This generated trust and respect from business that intern fostered collaboration and better partnership with both Technology and Business.
